Willard Moore, 73, of Macon, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020 after a battle with bile duct cancer.
Born in Hapeville, Georgia, he was the son of the late Willard D. Moore, Sr. And the late Julia B. Moore.
Mr. Moore was a member of Hapeville Baptist Church; a graduate of Hapeville High School; a graduate of Georgia State University earning a BBA degree; an Associates of Art from Macon College; and a Bachelor of Science degree from Macon State College where he was on the Dean’s List. Mr. Moore served six years in the Marine reserves and retired from BellSouth. Mr. Moore received a heart transplant at St. Joseph’s (Atlanta) in 1999 and a kidney transplant at Piedmont Hospital in 2004. He and his family would encourage everyone to become an organ and tissue donor.
Mr. Moore is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Moore; children, Jason Moore (Jenny) of Braselton, and Jarrett Moore (Ruth) of Spearfish, SD; grandchildren, Cason Moore, Griffin Moore, Thomas Moore, Ryland Moore, and Asher Moore; mother-in-law, Pearlene Young; sister-in-law, Cynthia Lewis (Bobby); brother-in-law, Jeff Durden (Denise); and nephew, Josh Durden (son - Aiden).
