Willard Malcolm "Mack" Wiggins

January 15, 1925 — August 13, 2016

Willard Malcolm "Mack" Wiggins was born in Deepstep, Georgia on January 15, 1925 and died in Macon on August 13, 2016 after a short illness. Mack proudly served as an Army infantryman during World War II and, after the war, as a Navy Seaman. After he married his life-long love, Faye (Boyer), they moved to Macon and Mack accepted a job with the Federal Aviation Administration where he completed his career as a civil servant. Mack was an avid fisherman and an excellent pool player. He was a member of the Exchange Club and always looked forward to working with the farm animals at the State Fair. Mack was an active member of First Baptist Church of Christ for over 30 years. Mack was predeceased by his parents, Jordan and Dovie (Barksdale) Wiggins, two brothers, Anthony and Elmer Wiggins, and his grandson, Marshall Brooks. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Faye, and their three children, Robert (Donna) Wiggins, Cheryl (Mike) Brooks, and Carol (Kurt) Dieterle; four grand children, Joel and Mary Wiggins, Heather Brooks Calhoun, and Matthew Dieterle; great grand-daughter Leah Brooks; two sisters, Dorothy (Charles) Russell and Eula Elder; one brother, Bill (Gina) Wiggins; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mack will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, August 18 at First Baptist Church of Christ, 511 High Place, Macon GA with the Reverend Scott Dickison and Dr. Jody Long officiating. The family will greet friends following the service in the Fellowship Hall. Mack will be buried in the Linton GA cemetery on Friday, August 19, at 11:00. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to First Baptist Church of Christ or to the charity of the donor's choice. Register online at www.hartsmort.com.
