Willa Mae Lowery Taylor of Macon, 84, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2009. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at 2P.M. in the Cedar Grove Methodist Church in Alamo, Georgia. Reverend Russell Harper and Reverend Alan Fennell will officiate.
Mrs. Taylor was born in Laurens County, GA and the daughter of the late Russell Harvey Lowery and Emma Lee Harrelson Lowery. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter B. Taylor; a daughter, Rhonda Hendley of Fayetteville; two sisters, Mamie Harper of Macon, and Helen Davis of Byron; three brothers, Hayden and Broadus Lowery, both of Caldwell, and Cleo Lowery of Athens. She was a member of the Doles United Methodist Church in Macon.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by her children, Carol Culpepper (Dennis) of Macon, Alan Taylor (Debbie) of Jonesboro, GA, Jack Taylor of Atlanta, and Steve Taylor (Lynda) of Fayetteville, GA; nine grandchildren, Stacey Culpepper, Amanda Culpepper, Vicki Hendley, Erin Hendley, Brandon Davis, Mitzi Taylor, Michelle Regan, Steve Taylor, Kathy Stell; seven great grandchildren; son-in-law, Richard Hendley of Fayetteville, GA; and sister-in-law, Hazel Lowery of Dublin, GA.
The family will have a visitation at the residence of Mrs. Mae Taylor, 771 Plantation Parkway, Macon, on Monday, April 20, 2009 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Flowers will be accepted, but memorials may be made to the Doles United Methodist Church, 6258 Thomaston Road, Macon, GA 31210.
