Wendell "Woody" C. Wood, Jr.

Wendell "Woody" C. Wood, Jr. died Friday, November 13, 2015. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at Lane Cemetery, Highway 27, Vienna, Georgia. Mr. Wood was a UGA Bulldogs fan and was an avid golfer, having played golf for the University of Georgia, and he hunted quail and dove at Covey Rise. Mr. Wood was a proud grandfather and enjoyed attending his grandchildren's sporting events. He was predeceased by his parents, Melita and Wendell Wood, Sr. and by his brother, Scott Wood. Mr. Wood is survived by his daughters: Lauren Wood Terry of Macon and Mandy Wood Lake and husband Guy Lake of Dublin; grandchildren: Henry Terry, Mary Evelyn Terry, Samuel Lake, and Olivia Lake; sister, Elaine Wood Hunt (Chuck) of Alabama; nieces and nephews: Chad Hunt, Claude Hunt, Georgianna Hunt, Kari Wood Merriken (Caleb), Marshall Wood (Lauren), and Joy Shokes (Mabry).
