Macon, GA-Wayne Morris, age 48, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2009 at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at Mabel White Memorial Baptist Church with interment to follow at Macon Memorial Park. The Reverend Joe McDaniel and Reverend Bill Linder will officiate. The family will greet friends Tuesday evening from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Hart's Mortuary at the Cupola on Peake Road. Mr. Morris was employed by Trane Commercial Systems as an Applications Engineer where he had worked for 28 years. He was a past president of the local ASHRAE chapter and a member of the Gideons. He was a member of Mabel White Memorial Baptist Church, a member of the Bill Linder Sunday School class, and a former Chairman and Chair Emeritus of the Deacons. Mr. Morris is survived by his wife Connie Morris, son Matt Morris, mother Ruth Morris, sisters Debbie (Richard) Haile of Fort Collins, Colorado and Joan Morin of Elkton, Kentucky, brother Tom (Diane) Russell of Marlton, New Jersey, several aunts and uncles, several nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews.
