Wayne Vernon Bishop

Mr. Wayne Vernon Bishop, of Macon, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2022.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Bishop; son, Randy (Laurie) Bishop; son, Rusty (Liz) Bishop; son, Reggie (Tina) Bishop; daughter, Rhonda Bishop; son, Rocky Bishop; sister, Patsy (Charlie) Barr; sister, Bonnie (Mike) Sisk; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mr. Bishop was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on February 19, 1940. He was the son of the late Samuel Thomas Bishop and Alberta Miller. Mr. Bishop was preceded in death by his brother, Gerald Bishop; brother, Larry Bishop; and sister, Linda Harrell.

Wayne thoroughly enjoyed fishing and was a great horseshoe player. He loved NASCAR, his favorite driver being Dale Earnhardt.

Family was very important to Wayne and he loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren beyond measure. He met the love of his life, Brenda, on the line at Bibb Manufacturing and they were married for a wonderful 63 years.
