Warren "Bob" Robbins Lewis. Sr.

Warren Robbins "Bob" Lewis, Sr., 79, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2014. Funeral services will be at 3:00PM on Sunday, December 28, 2014 in the chapel of Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, with the Reverend Gary Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Cupola. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart Association, 5962 Zebulon Road #359, Macon, Georgia 31210, or Lizella Baptist Church, 2950 S. Lizella Road, Lizella, Georgia 31052. Mr. Lewis was a member of Lizella Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Lanier High School and the University of Georgia. He began his career teaching before becoming Director of Maintenance and Grounds for the Bibb County Board of Education. He retired with over 40 years of service. Mr. Lewis was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved UGA football, woodworking, and spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Judy Marlowe Lewis of Lizella; four children, Robin Dixon of Macon, Warren Robbins Lewis, Jr. (Sonia) of Lizella, Barry Lewis (Dawn) of Lizella, and Dana Corcoran (Vic) of Covington, Georgia; five grandchildren, Colton Dixon, Tanner Lewis, Sam Lewis, Kate Lewis, and Aidan Corcoran; and sister-in-law, Mary Alice Lewis of Macon.
