Wanda Jones Hopson

Wanda Hopson, age 53, died on November 5, 2013. Born to Eschol Leonard and Shirley Jones on April 24th, 1960. Wanda was a graduate of Northeast High in Macon. She was married to her teenage sweetheart, Ricky Hopson, for 34 years. She was a loving wife and mother. Wanda enjoyed the outdoors, working with flowers and plants and was the owner of Four Star Grounds Landscaping in Monroe County, Georgia. She was known as the red haired woman with the big hat seen all over Forsyth on her riding mower. Her two daughters, Lauren Hopson Holloway and Stephanie Hopson, were her pride and joy and helped her facilitate the annual Miss Forsythia Pageant held each spring in Forsyth, Georgia. Her greatest joy in recent years came from spending time with her two grandsons, Maddox Kimsey, age 6, and Bryce Holloway, age 4. She is survived by her husband, Ricky Hopson; her daughters, Lauren Hopson Holloway (Britt), Stephanie Hopson; her two grandsons, Maddox Kimsey and Bryce Holloway; her parents, Leonard and Shirley Jones; and her brothers, Len Jones (Brenda) and Mark Jones (Brenda). Memorial services will be held at Harts at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 11AM with the Reverend Rex Odom officiating. Register online at www.hartsmort.com.
