Walter Thomas Prescott, Jr. died Friday, March 18, 2016. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 21, 2016 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Hart's at the Cupola, 2364 Peake Road, with the Reverend Jim Duggan and Dr. Neal Wall officiating. Burial will be at Macon Memorial Park. The family will greet friends Sunday from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Hart's at the Cupola. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bellevue Baptist Church Building Fund, 5925 Price Road, Macon, Georgia 31220. Mr. Prescott was a faithful member and deacon emeritus of Bellevue Baptist Church. He was a loyal employee of A.S. Hatcher Company for 47 years. Mr. Prescott was predeceased by his wife, Alice P. Prescott, his sisters, Martha P. Gray, Virginia P. Cruse, and Hazel P. Haring, and his brother, Lucien M. Prescott. Mr. Prescott is survived by his daughter, Mabel P. Wells and son-in-law, Joseph H. Wells, Jr. of Macon; granddaughter, Rebecca L. Wells of Decatur; fianceé, Katurah Johnson of Macon; and nieces, Phyllis Cruse and Vicky Follensbee, both of Grantham, New Hampshire.
