Walt Mitchell

Walt Mitchell, of Gray, passed away Friday, March 30, 2018. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 11:00 at Hart's Mortuary, Jones County Chapel, with burial services following at Cleveland Newby Cemetery in Juliette Ga. The family will greet friends on Monday, April 2, 2018 from 6 until 8 in the Hart's Mortuary, Jones County Chapel, 307 Pecan Ln, Gray Ga, 31032. Reverend Robbye Jarrell will officiate. Walt was born to the late Walter Mitchell and Sara Frances Jones. He was a great father, grandfather and brother. He loved to hunt, fish and take long walks on his property. Walt had an infectious laugh. He was also a talented carpenter and proud to be a member of the Local Carpenters Union #144. Walt his survived by his children, Daniel Mitchell (Jennifer) of Gray, Sara Riley (Adam) of Gray; grandchildren, Tristan Mitchell, Harrison Mitchell, Brooklynn Riley, Landon Riley; sisters, Mary Lou Curtis of Cochran, Martha Goodrich (Carl) of Macon and Nancy Hancock of Gray; brother, Roland Mitchell of Juliette; companion, Gail Davis of Gray and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
