Rev. W. Guy Parrish, Jr.

Reverend W. Guy Parrish, Jr., 86, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2015. Visitation with family will be on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 1:00pm followed by Memorial services at 2:00 PM at Martha Bowman Memorial United Methodist Church. The Reverend Tim Steffen will be officiating. In lieu of flowers family has requested donations be made to the Methodist Children's Home. Reverend Parrish was the pastor for many congregations for the United Methodist Church in the North and South Georgia Conferences from 1946 until he retired in 1989. He obtained his Master's degree in Divinity from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University. Survivors include his wife, Billie Cole Parrish of Macon; sons, James W. Parrish, Sr. (Nancy) of Byron, and William "Bill" G. Parrish (Pam) of Monroe, Georgia; two grandsons, James W. Parrish, Jr. of Byron, and William Cole Parrish of Monroe; great grandson, Alexander Morgan Parrish of Byron; and two brothers, Jack Parrish (Barbara) of Bonaire, and Robert Parrish (the late Martha) of Ball Ground, Georgia.
