W. M. "Dick" Dickey, Jr.

W. M. “Dick” Dickey, Jr. of Macon, Georgia passed away in to eternal life on Sunday, April 6, 2014. He was born on March 15, 1933 and was the son of the late Wilmer M. and Gladys Neel Dickey.

Dick was a graduate of the University of Georgia, attended the Stonier School of Banking at Rutgers University and was also a member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. Along with his forty plus years of working in the banking industry, he was also active in the political, civic, social and religious affairs of the community.

Dick is survived by his wife Emily Hardman Dickey; sons: W. M. “Bo” Dickey, III of Atlanta, Neel H. Dickey (Renate) of Macon; grandson Carsten N. Dickey of Macon; and his brother R. L. “Bob” Dickey II (Jane) also of Macon.

A memorial service and reception will be held at Hart’s at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road on Wednesday, April 9 at 2:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the charity of choice.
