Virginia Reid Adams

Virginia Reid Adams, 77, of Macon, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2014. Memorial services will be held on Friday, August 1, 2014 at 11:00AM at First Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Jim Shipley officiating. The family may be contacted at the residence and will greet friends at Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street, on Thursday from 5:00PM until 7:00PM. Mrs. Adams was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She was predeceased by her husband, George E. Adams and her parents, Omer McIntyre Reid and Frances Elizabeth Smith Reid. A graduate of Mary Persons High School, Mrs. Adams was retired from the United States Forest Service. She genuinely loved people and life. Mrs. Adams is survived by her children, Debbie Adams, Ken Adams (Cindy), Wanda Milam (Russell) and Mike Adams (Judy); grandchildren, Jennifer Jordan (Walker), Kristy Godfrey (Will), Lori Sheffield (Chad), Stephanie Walker (Brad), Kyle Milam, Lane Adams (Taylor), Megan Adams, Matthew Adams and Mack Adams; great-grandchildren, Walk Jordan, Emily Godfrey, Macie Sheffield, Seth Sheffield and Rylee Adams; sisters, Patricia Blume and Delores Dixon (Stanley), both of Macon; many nieces and nephews.
