Veta Elrod

Veta Elrod died Monday, August 27, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 12:30PM on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 in the chapel of Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, with the Reverend Peter Gibson officiating. Mrs. Elrod was the widow of Robert Adger Elrod, and daughter of the late Henry Martinez and the late Mary Hernandez Martinez. She was also predeceased by her son, Cecil T. Brown, a brother, Joe Martinez, and sisters, Louise Jacques, Anita Marr, and Nora Bradshaw. Survivors include sons, Richard C. Brown and Anthony C. Elrod (Michelle); daughter-in-law, Sharon Brown; five grandchildren, Chad Brown (Lindsey), Blaine Brown (Kelly), Chelsey Elrod Cover (Tony), Ted Brown, and Megan McDowell; several great grandchildren; and sisters, Ruth Higgins and Gloria Cargall.
