Vergil Seborn Holcomb, Sr.

Vergil Seborn Holcomb, Sr., 90, of Round Oak, GA, died Saturday, July 24, 2021.   Graveside services will be held Sunday, August 1, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Holcomb Family Cemetery in Round Oak with Bishop Barry Peavy officiating.

Son of the late Thomas Vergil and Violet Lucile Nicholson Holcomb, Mr. Holcomb loved God and he loved his family.  He was a farmer and a man of the land.  He loved rabbit, bird, and deer hunting.  Over the years, he worked security and construction.  Mr. Holcomb was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Mae Fold Holcomb.

Mr. Holcomb is survived by his children, Darlene Holloway (Bob), Shelby Arlene Scoggins, Steve Holcomb, Vergil Holcomb, Jr., and Maryann Smith (Blake), all of Round Oak; 9 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
