Vera Lee Thomas

Vera Lee Thomas passed away on January 8, 2017. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Wheeler Heights Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend Franklin Etheridge will officiate with burial following the service at Macon Memorial Park. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Thomas was predeceased by her husband, Charlie R. Thomas; grandchildren, Michael Sean Thomas and Russell E. Thomas Jr.; and parents, Joseph and Jettie Mae Clements. She loved her family- her children were her life. She attended Wheeler Heights Baptist Church and was a member of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Thomas is survived by her sons, Eddie Thomas (Amy) of Macon, Wayne Thomas (Marcia) of Madison and Alan Thomas of Macon; great- grandchildren, Amanda Thomas, Austin Thomas; grandchildren, Shelly Lindberg (Andy), Joel Thomas, Jr., Jason Thomas, Jeanna Thomas, Cecile Thomas and Matthew Thomas; numerous great grandchildren; adopted son, Eddie Smallwood; and sister Carol Strum (Julian) of McRae.
