Tony Lewis Dix

Tony Lewis Dix, 71, of Macon, passed away in the early hours of October 20, 2026, at Piedmont Macon Medical Center. His funeral service will be held at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, beginning at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, his family kindly requests that donations be directed to Shriners Children’s Hospital.

Tony Dix was born on November 28, 1954, in Macon, to Lois Estelle Dixon and Tony Dix, Jr. He graduated from Northeast Highschool and would later enlist into the United States Air Force. He forged a life and career around his military service for 20 years, earning the final rank of Technical Sergeant. Tony later retired from Geico, as well, a career he returned to following his military retirement.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Lois Estelle Dixon and Tony Dix, Jr. He is survived by his sister, Janice Riggins; a niece, Jodi Handley (David); a nephew, Tony Riggins; 3 great-nieces and nephews; and 5 great-great-nieces and nephews.
