Todd Murphy

Richard Todd Murphy, 56, of Lizella went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on March 27, 2021. A celebration of life will be held Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Northway Church where Todd was a member. The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm preceding the service as well as following the service. Burial will be private. Born December 5, 1964 in Macon, Georgia and raised in Macon, Todd graduated from First Presbyterian Day School and continued his education at the University of Georgia and Georgia State University where he earned his masters in Finance. Upon graduating, he began work with the Federal Home Loan Bank as a bank examiner and later became the Vice President of the Gordon Bank. Todd had a love for the outdoors which included sporting clays, fishing and hunting. He also loved the Georgia Bulldogs, but nothing surpassed his love for his children, Raines and Rynn. He enjoyed attending their church, school and sporting events and was a loving and dedicated father. Todd is preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Ward Murphy and his father, Jon Richard Murphy. He is survived by his children, Stratton Raines Murphy and Josie Rynn Murphy of Macon; sister, Tara Murphy Reeves (Michael) of Woodstock and brother, Jonathan Trey Murphy (Dana)of Statesboro. He is also survived by his niece, London Reeves and nephews, Murphy Reeves, Case Murphy and Cole Murphy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Todd’s honor to Northway Church.
