Dr. Todd Edward Lang, 41, beloved husband, father and son unexpectedly passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday March 2, 2016. He died at his home in Macon, Georgia where he had recently moved with his family to embark on a new journey as Chief Medical Officer with the Coliseum Medical Center. Todd was born in Klamath Falls, Oregon on September 19, 1974. He was raised in Oregon and attended Linfield College after high school graduation. He then attended Medical School at The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD and completed his Family Medicine Residency at Altoona Family Physicians in Altoona, PA. On November 25th, 2005, Todd married Teressa J. Mitchell of Alum Bank, PA. Together they have 3 children, Ava (8), Maya (5) and Ezra (5) whom he just adored. Todd's clinical career focused on Emergency Medicine and he was a skillful physician and physician leader. Shortly after residency, he and Teressa moved to Arizona where he worked in the Verde Valley ED. In 2010, they moved to Richland WA where he was the Medical Director of the Emergency Department at Lourdes Medical Center. During this time, he completed his Masters of Business Administration degree through the University of Tennessee. In 2012, his family moved to Collierville, TN where he was the Medical Director of the ER at Baptist East Medical Center. At the end of 2015, he moved with his family to Macon, GA for the position of Chief Medical Officer of the Coliseum Medical Center. Todd truly lived life to the fullest. Todd was passionate about life and thrived on challenge and adventure. He seized every opportunity to challenge himself intellectually and physically. He was an avid cyclist, runner, and triathlete and thoroughly enjoyed the competition of sport. He enjoyed the adventure of travel and visiting new places and meeting new people. Todd adored his family and was a loving and caring father and husband. Todd is survived by his wife, Teressa; his children, Ava, Ezra and Maya; his father, Jeff; his mother, Tina; his brother, Craig; and several aunts, uncles, in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews. A service to honor and celebrate his life will be held on Sunday, March 6th at Hart's Mortuary in Macon at the Cupola at 3:00PM.
