Macon- Thomas Blanie Sherwood, III, 82, of John Wesley Villas, died Friday, February 3, 2012. Graveside services will be held on Monday, February 6, 2012 at 11:00AM at Macon Memorial Park. The Reverend Dianne Sweckard will officiate. The family may be contacted at the residence. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Tattnall Square Academy, 111 Trojan Trail, Macon, Georgia 31210.

Mr. Sherwood attended Forest Hills United Methodist Church and was a member of Faithful Friends Sunday School Class. A lifelong resident of Macon, he graduated from Lanier High School. Mr. Sherwood retired from Georgia Power in 1986 after thirty-six years of service. He enjoyed playing golf and tennis and was a loving grandfather and father.

Mr. Sherwood is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Tommy Sherwood, IV and Daryl Sherwood of Macon; sister, Penny Cowne of Florida; grandchildren, Kimberly Smith (Bruce) of Texas and Brianne Sherwood of Macon; great-grandchildren, Kamryn Lucas, Casen Lucas and Keatyn Smith, all of Texas.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at John Wesley Villas for their compassionate and loving care given to Mr. Sherwood.
