Thomas Franklin Patrick, 81, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, April 8, 2016. A funeral service remembering his life will be held at 10:30AM on Monday, April 11 at Bellevue Baptist Church, 5925 Price Road. Reverend Jim Duggan will officiate. The family will greet guests following the service. A private burial will follow at Mount Vernon Christian Church in Monroe, Georgia. Tom was born in Good Hope, GA to the late Ross and Martha Patrick. He served in the Navy from 1952 to 1956. Later, he moved to Atlanta and became a sales manager for Southern Bell Telephone Company. After retiring from Southern Bell, Tom worked for many years at the local YMCA and Gold's Gym. He was also a licensed real estate agent. Tom and his family also lived in Gwinnett County, Helen, GA, and Gainesville, Ga before moving to Macon in 1997. Tom was an incredible husband, father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed doing yard work and physical fitness. He was always actively serving in his church. He had a loving, servant's heart. He was preceded in death by his dear wife of 47 years, Jean Petermann Patrick; and his brothers Leonard Patrick and Ben Patrick. Tom's memory will forever be cherished by his daughter Leigh Douthit, son in law James Douthit, and his three grandchildren, Claire, Jake and Grace Douthit, a brother Billy Patrick and sister Carolyn Ragsdale, multiple nieces and nephews, as well as his church family and lifelong friends.
