Thomas James Krilowicz

Dr. Thomas James Krilowicz, 88, of Gray, passed away Saturday, July 16, 2022.  A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 21, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel with the Reverend Larry Partain officiating.  The family will greet friends Wednesday, July 20, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel.  He will be laid to rest at the U. S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to donor’s favorite charity.

Son of the late John Charles and Elizabeth Kurish Krilowicz, Dr. Krilowicz earned his masters and doctorate degree in management from Florida State University.  Dr. Krilowicz was a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and retired in 1973 as a Lt. Commander from the United States Navy.  He then went on to work as a professor of business management at Georgia College and State University.

Dr. Krilowicz was a member of Christ Community Church and attended Calvary Baptist Church with his wife.  Dr. Krilowicz was a student of the Bible and loved to read it.  He enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his grandchildren.

Dr. Krilowicz is survived by his wife of 16 years, Pat P. Krilowicz of Gray; children, Lisa Stoker (Glenn) of Plano, Texas, Thomas James Krilowicz, Jr. (Cristen) of Plano, and Kimberly Cavender (Wes) of Gray; stepchildren, Derek Hutchison (Kathleen) of Downsville, Louisiana and Hutch Hutchison (Dana) of Gray; grandchildren, Garrett Stoker (Allison), Cameron Lipe (Christian), Katie Stoker, Emma Krilowicz, T.J. Krilowicz, Madison Cavender, McKenzie Cavender, Mitch Cavender, and Miles Cavender; step grandchildren, Nicholas Hutchison (Stephanie), Marklin Hutchison (Jessica), Austin Hutchison and Brent Hutchison; 2 great grandchildren expected later this year; brother, Robert Krilowicz (Sue) of Florida;  and many nieces and nephews.

Dr. Krilowicz was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth “Lucky” Krilowicz and 9 siblings.
