Thomas Bennett Jones, 93, of Macon, Georgia, passed away on February 20, 2025. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.

Born on April 18, 1931, to the late Thomas Milton Jones and Lois Irene Craven Jones, Thomas was known for his love of the outdoors, often found fishing or hunting, and was a dedicated member of the Mickey Fuller Masonic Lodge 720.

His passion for fishing and hunting were only matched by his enthusiasm for sports and his joyful escapes to the sunny coasts of Florida.

Thomas is survived by his siblings, Alvin Jones of McRae-Helena, Georgia, Lavonia Evans of Eastman, Georgia, Melba Jones of Dexter, Georgia, and Dee Parker of Macon, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his loving wife, Josephine Jones; brother, Lowell Jones; and sisters, Vonnie Evans, Shelia Fincher, and Alice Warren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
