Thomas "Randall" Floyd Farmer

March 28, 1945 — May 6, 2023

Macon

Family, friends and neighbors deeply mourn the loss of their beloved Thomas “Randall” Floyd Farmer on Saturday, May 6, 2023. His dedication to helping others, unparalleled work ethic, and loving smile made him memorable to all.

Randall was born and raised in Gordon, Georgia, and was a member of the Wilkinson County High School class of 1963. Upon graduation, he proudly served on the United States Navy’s U.S.S. Manley.

Dubbed a “Jack of all trades and Master of many,” Randall was the owner of Quality Heating and Air for over 50 years. He was a gifted artist, from intricate wood carvings displayed in the governor’s office to his backyard waterfall garden and chainsaw carvings. His ingenuity resulted in countless unique creations built from a simple idea such as his haunted house where he donned a gorilla suit and thrilled many trick-or-treaters over the years.

Through all his endeavors, he loved his family and took an enthusiastic and supportive role in the lives of his children and grandchildren. A faithful and dedicated member of Northway Church, Randall’s faith in the Lord was his greatest hope in life, and he looked forward to spending eternity with his heavenly Father.

Randall was preceded in death by his father, Roy Foshee Farmer, and his mother, Mary Nell McDowell. He is survived by his wife, Lynn English Farmer; his children, Tiffany (Jay) Nelson and Tony (Wendy) Farmer; his stepchildren, Laurie (Bradley) Parks, Kayra Hoyle, and John-Michael (Holly) Hoyle; his sisters, Betty (Don) Vinson, and Linda (Bruce) Billman; and his devoted friend, Sam Doty. Randall was proud of his grandchildren (Nathan, Natalie and Katie Berry; Isabella and Elena; Abbey and Allie; Naida; Ben and Marley; Mac and Sam), and great-grandchildren (Hugh and Tripp; Charlotte; Rowan and Ford), and he was cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Northway Church on May 20, 2023, at 2:00pm. The family will greet friends immediately after the service.
