Thomas Edward Davis

Thomas Edward Davis, 52, was a Macon Bibb County Firefighter for 34 years and he was a part of Macon Bibb's Hazardous Material Team, CPR instructor, Firefighter Candidate Assessor, Competition Team Captain and Accomplished Extrication Instructor. He was one of Macon Bibb's original Dive Team members and a Fire Apparatus Operators "Operator" which was inclusive of our beloved "49 Mack". Tommy was an avid supporter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association, The American Heart Association, American Cancer Society and Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation. Tommy was the two time winner of the Randy Cox Firefighter of The Year Award and also was EMT of the Year from Navicent Health. He was owner and Operator of T & T Trim. He was an accomplished builder. Tommy was the kind of guy who believed in doing it right and if he did it you could count on it being right. If Tommy said it, it was as good as gold. Tommy was an avid sportsman. In 1982 Tommy had to make a big decision on whether he would attend Auburn University or become a Macon Bibb Firefighter. Tommy chose the Fire Department but was still an Auburn Tiger at heart. Tommy was an active member of Macon Wesleyan Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.W. Davis and Anna Mary Davis and a brother, Robert L. Davis. His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 17 years , Tammy Ray Davis; Children, Adam (Amanda) Ray, and Somer (Stacy) Williams, Angela Stahl, Dayna Davis; Siblings; Jack (Cathie) Davis, James (Vickie) Davis, John (Kelly) Davis, Pat Witts, Linda (Stan) Howell and Sandra (Bob) Jackson. He was a proud grandfather to Noah Robinson, Dalton Williams, Nathan Ray and Sadie Ray and Uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. The family will greet friends on Thursday, December 22, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hart's Mortuary at the Cupola located at 6324 Peake Road, Macon, Georgia. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 23, 2016 at 1:00 PM at the Cupola. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Fallen Firefighters Foundation or Georgia Firefighter Burn Foundation.
