Thomas "Tommy" Chester Gay

Thomas "Tommy" Chester Gay, 61, of Crawford County, Georgia died unexpectedly on Friday, September 6, 2013. Services will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, Macon, Georgia. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Gay was born July 11, 1952 in Macon, Georgia to the late John Luther Gay and the late Eugenia Louise Gay. He graduated from Lanier High School and attended Middle Georgia College. He was a member of and retired from Plumbers and Pipefitters Union #72, Atlanta, Georgia. Tommy enjoyed fishing, traveling and spending time with family and friends. Mr. Gay is survived by and will be deeply missed by his siblings, Barbara E. (Charlie ) Hobbs of Lizella, Georgia and Phillip C. (Shawn) Gay of Gray, Georgia; former spouse, Norma Jean Gay of Macon, Georgia; children, Bonnice (Stan) Lane of Darlington, South Carolina, Dean (Sherry) Harris of Roseville, California, Don (Lexa) Harris of Kernersville, North Carolina and Kristy (Chaz) Jones of Tulsa, Oklahoma; fourteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, John Luther "Junior" Gay, Jr. The family will meet friends at Hart's at the Cupola an hour before services.
