Thelma Sledge Price

Thelma Sledge Price, 89, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Funeral services will be at 2:00PM on Saturday, August 15, 2015 in the chapel of Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, with Pastor Will Johnson and the Reverend Bob Price officiating. Family will greet friends between 12:30-2:00PM before the service at the Cupola. There will be a private burial at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Magnolia Manor, ATTN: Tara or Toni, 200 Pierce Avenue, Macon, Georgia 31204, or First Christian Church, 2306 Vineville Avenue, Macon, Georgia 31204. Mrs. Price was a member of First Christian Church and former member of Second Baptist Church. She was a resident for the last 15 years at Magnolia Manor. Mrs. Price was a bookkeeper at Pickard Tile Company for 40 years. She married the love of her life, James L. Price, who predeceased her in 1992. They were married for more than 40 years. Survivors include her son, Bob Price (Liz); three daughters, Kathy Lohmuller (Brian), Brenda Wall (Mike), and Teresa Durden (Steve); eight grandchildren, Julie Collins (Lane), Karen Estes (Mark), Brian Brewer (Joan), Rebecca Wright (Michael), Jennifer Fanning (Matt), Katie Porter (Donnie), Eric Durden, and Jeff Durden; eleven great grandchildren; brother, Phil Sledge (Margarette); and many nieces and nephews.
