Thelma Dean Brown

Thelma Dean Brown passed away peacefully on May 12, 2026, in Macon, Georgia, at the age of 99, just weeks before her 100th birthday. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Riverside Cemetery.

Thelma was born in Winnsboro, Louisiana on June 7, 1926, to the late James Herman and Vera Brownell. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Sharon Twibell of Macon; good friend, Charlie Jay of Macon; and her caregiver, Martha Sapp.

In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Rowland Brown; and her daughter, Debbie Dee Brown. Her husband was employed by Standard Oil of California, where they traveled across the country on different assignments.
