Macon- The Reverend R. Paul Creech, 48, of 6332 Carey Drive, concluded his battle with cancer Thursday, September 15, 2011. Services will be held Saturday, September 17, 2011, at 7:00PM, in the chapel of Hart's Mortuary at the Cupola with the Reverend Eddie Hodges officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2011, from 5:00PM until 7:00PM, at the Cupola. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Free Will Baptist International Missions, P. O. Box 5002, Antioch, Tennessee 37011-5002 or to an educational fund presently being established for the Creech children. Please contact Hart's Mortuary, 765 Cherry Street, Macon, Georgia 31201, 478-746-4321, for further information on the educational fund.

The Reverend Creech was the minister at White Oaks Free Will Baptist Church. He was born October 11, 1962, in Durham, North Carolina, and was the son of the late Mary Belle Lou Smith Creech and the late Rupert Ronald Creech. The Reverend Creech served as missionary in Japan from 1987-1988 and in Ivory Coast, West Africa, from 1989-1998. He served churches in Holmesville, New Brunswick, Canada; Vienna, Georgia; and Macon, Georgia. He served on the State Mission Board of the Georgia State Association of Free Will Baptists and the Board of International Missions for the National Association of Free Will Baptists. Since 2002, he had worked at Hart's Mortuary and Crematory as Chaplain and Funeral Assistant.

The Reverend Creech is survived by his wife, Rhoda Snow Creech; children, Deborah Lynn Creech, Joseph Paul Creech, Lydia Grace Creech and Caleb Mark Creech; sisters and their husbands, Ruth Creech and the Reverend Jim Mullen, Elizabeth Creech and the Reverend Eddie Hodges, and Rebecca Creech and Mark Tart, and Lois Creech; several nieces and nephews.
