Terry was born November 11, 1954, in Andalusia, Alabama, to Lynne Sweatt Tiller and the late Earl Glenn Tiller. He was a proud graduate of Mercer University where he earned his degree in political science.  He was a respected business leader and a partner at Riverside Ford. In addition to his business accomplishments, Terry was also recognized for his extensive service to the community. As a past president of the Downtown Council, a board member of the Better Business Bureau, and a member of the Downtown Macon Rotary Club, Terry's influence extended far beyond the boardroom. His commitment included sponsorship of numerous local charities, touching many lives throughout his city.

Terry had a love for animals and music, with jazz holding a special place in his heart.
