Teresa Jones Henderson

Teresa Ann Jones Henderson, 52, beloved wife and mother, passed away at her home in Macon, Sunday, May 9, 2021.  A memorial mass will be held for Teresa Friday, May 14 at 4pm at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Macon. The family will greet friends after the mass at Hart’s Mortuary on Cherry Street.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her name to St. Joseph’s Catholic School, 905 High St., Macon, GA 31201.

Born in Albany, Georgia, February 18, 1969, Teresa was the daughter of the late Morice E. and Ann Jones.  She graduated from Riverview Academy in Albany and moved to Savannah, Georgia, where she met and married her husband, Bruce R. Henderson in 1991. Together, they had 2 children, Brian Patrick Henderson in 1995 and Eric Tyler Henderson in 1999. Teresa was most recently employed at St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Macon, as well as a parishioner there.

Teresa was immensely proud of her sons and beloved by everyone she met, always bringing joy and smiles to everyone. She was at her happiest relaxing at the beach with her family or sharing time with her family and friends and her beloved dog, Princeton.

Teresa is survived by her husband, Bruce R. Henderson; two sons, Brian Patrick Henderson and Eric Tyler Henderson; brothers, Emery Jones and Shelton Jones; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Zollie R. and Edie Henderson; sister-in-law, Kim (Henderson) Krieger; and nephews, Charles Jones and Bragg Jones.
