Dr. Susie Ann Ingram

Dr. Susie Ann Ingram, 74, of Acworth, Georgia passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2023.   A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 2, 2023, at Hart’s Mortuary on Cherry Street.  The family will greet friends from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Willowbrook Hospice, 162 W Main Street, Suite 306, Cartersville, Georgia 30120.

Susie was born in Macon, Georgia on January 2, 1949, to the late Guy and Reaunette Ingram. She graduated from Lassiter High School in 1967. She attended Tift College where she received a BA in English, Georgia State University where she earned her Masters in Education, and Capella University where she earned her PhD in Business.

Susie was an educator above all else, teaching in the classroom for 18 years from Georgia to Arizona.   In 2000, she moved to Maryland to work for the IRS, and in 2010 she transferred to the IRS office in Atlanta, where she retired in 2012.  She enjoyed volunteering during retirement at Candler Hospital in Savannah, and teaching GED Adult Education.  She was an avid reader, loved her pets dearly, and enjoyed eating seafood.

In addition to her parents, Susie was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Illiana Trinkle, and sister, Barbara I. Scott.

Susie is survived by her daughter, Angelique Perry (Jack), of Portland, Oregon; son, Patrick Venture (Elizabeth), of Sunnyvale, California; five grandchildren; siblings, Charlotte Keller, of Acworth, Georgia, Guy W. Ingram, Jr. (Sandra), of Pickerington, Ohio, Debra Yandell, of Augusta, Georgia, Dwight “Wayne” Ingram (Brenda), of Mauldin, South Carolina, and Tim Ingram (Cindy), of Gray, Georgia; and brother-in-law, Leon Scott, of Blue Ridge, Georgia.
