Susie Hudson

Susie Hudson, 81, of Lizella, GA, passed away Friday, April 14, 2023. The family will greet friends Tuesday, April 18, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel.  A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Hart’s Mortuary, Jones County Chapel with the Reverend Robbie Passmore officiating.  Burial will follow the service at Middle Georgia Memorial Gardens.

Daughter of the late Arthur Franklin and Lucille Criswell Justice, Mrs. Hudson attended McEvoy High School.  She married the love of her life in 1958.  She went on to drive the school bus, then worked at Robins Air Force Base, Wilsons, Service Merchandise, and J.D. Kinder.

Mrs. Hudson loved her faithful companion, a Shih Tzu, Zack.  She enjoyed dancing, working crossword puzzles, listening to country music, and working in the yard.  She also loved to read Western stories, by authors such as Louis L’Amour.  She loved a good mystery story, too.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hudson was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Morris Hudson and siblings, Dawson Justice, Dick Justice, Jackie Roberson, Danny Justice, Brenda Lester, and Dennis Justice.

Mrs. Hudson is survived by her children, Debbie Tucker, Andy Hudson (Joy), Mike Hudson, and Kevin Hudson (Carol), all of Lizella; grandchildren, Daniel Tucker (Jennifer) of Perry, Georgia, Hannah Joyner (Bruce) of Fort Valley, Georgia, Bradly Hudson of Lizella, Matthew Hudson (Kim) of Macon, Georgia, Ashley Hudson, and Britney Hudson, both of Lizella; great grandchildren, Natalie Joyner, Caleb Joyner, Bella Tucker, Makaylla Taylor, Bentlee Hudson, and Colton Broadnax; sister, Zora Roberson of Austin, Texas, numerous nieces and nephews, and faithful companion, her Shih Tzu, Zack.
