Sue Ann Byrd

Sue Ann Byrd, 80, passed away on November 25, 2016. A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 28, 2016 at 2:00PM at Middle Georgia Memory Gardens, with the Reverend Tommy Byrd officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Macon, GA 31201 or Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon, GA 31210. Sue Ann was the loving wife of 56 years of the late Hugh Dorsey "Jaybyrd" Byrd, Sr. She was predeceased by her parents, Fred Henry and Kathleen Whitt, sister, Clarice Foster, and son-in-law Scott Preston. She was a member of Shurlington United Methodist Church. Sue Ann is survived by her daughters, Susan V. Walters and Nancy E. Preston; son, Hugh "Bo" D. Byrd, Jr. (Charlotte); grandchildren, Brett Walters (Ashley), Holly Martin (Brandon), Ryan Byrd (Stacey), Kayla Preston, Jenna Byrd and Clay Preston; great grandchildren, Bree Martin, Taylan Walters, Paiton Martin and Taccoa Walters; brother, Fred Whitt (Sybil), sister, Charlene Power and many nieces and nephews.
