Stewart L. Gordon Sr.

Stewart Leslie Gordon, Sr., 60, passed away at his home on Monday, August 3, 2015. The only child of Lucille P. and Sid Leslie Gordon, he lived in Jones County all his life. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 11:00AM at Plentitude Baptist Church, 145 Plentitude Church Road, Gray, GA 31032 with Rev. Tommy Freeman officiating. Burial will follow the service at Gordon Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Hart's Mortuary, Jones County Chapel on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 from 6:00-8:00PM. Stewart was a pipefitter and welder by trade affiliated with UA Local #472 (Macon), #72 (Atlanta), Brown & Williamson Tobacco Co. and he established a small construction company, All-Star Services that two of his sons operate. He was a Mason (Lodge 430) and a Christian. Stewart loved his family beyond measure. He loved to laugh and he always had a story to tell. He was a wonderful husband, loving father and doting Papa. He leaves behind his wife of 38 years, Susan Sims Gordon; sons and daughters, S. Leslie Gordon, Jr., Sid Robert "Bob" Gordon and his wife Brandy, and Nelson Sims Gordon and his wife, Melissa; grandchildren Sidney, Emma-Kate and Colton.
