Steven Roy Jones

Steven Roy Jones, 54, of Eatonton, GA, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023.  Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 23, 2023, at Hart’s at the Cupola with Dr. Mark Hudgins officiating.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Ministries, https://www.crossroadsrecovery.org/donate.html or All About Animals, P.O. Steve was a 1986 graduate of Central High School. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.  He loved working with his hands, especially with wood and metal. He also enjoyed working on cars.  He was the assistant manager for the body shop at Youmans Chevrolet.  Prior to that he was a senior claims adjuster at Progressive Insurance.  Steve was preceded in death by his wife, Kirsten S. Jones.

Steve is survived by his children, Sgt Miles Avery Jones, USMC, at Camp Pendleton in California, and Olivia Caroline Jones of Macon; father, Roy J. Jones (Donna) of Macon; mother, Sheryl T. Hull (Burnett) of Macon; sister, Tina Jones Ashley (Dennis) of Macon; nieces and nephews, Ashleigh McDonald (Collin) of Dallas, Georgia, Bowen Powers of Macon, Joseph Ashley of McDonough, Georgia; uncle and aunt, Gary and Joyce Meier of Gordon, Georgia; aunt, Dorothy Stewart of Mount Gilead, North Carolina; cousins, Crystal Johnson and Carly Johnson of Milledgeville, Georgia, Sandra Petroutsa of Jacksonville, Florida, and Lisa Worley of Mount Gilead.

Hart’s at the Cupola, Hart's Mortuary and Cremation Center, 6324 Peake Rd, Macon, GA 31210 has charge of the arrangements.
