Steven Fulbright

Steven Fulbright, 42, of Macon, GA, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2022.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at the Anderson Conference Center, 5171 Eisenhower Pkwy, Ste D, Macon, GA 31206.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.

It is impossible to convey the breadth and depth of the extraordinary contributions Steven Fulbright made to the Middle Georgia community in a few short lines. However, it should be recognized that he defined community service for many. Steven’s leadership manifested itself in countless organizations.  He served as board chair for the Macon Arts Alliance, the Macon Film Festival, was co-chair of the College Hill Corridor, and was the incoming board chair for the Historic Macon Foundation.  He also served on the boards of the Cherry Blossom Festival, Macon Beer Festival, Historic Heartland Travel Region, and the Southeast Tourism Society.  He was recognized by Macon Magazine as a young leader when he was named one of its "Five Under 40" in 2017. Additionally, in recognition of his tremendous service to the cultural life of the community, he was honored with a Macon Arts Alliance Cultural Award in 2019.  To meet Steven was to feel the love he gave everyone in his orbit.

Steven was preceded in death by his brother, Andy Fulbright.

Steven is survived by his husband, David Quackenbush of Macon; parents, Mike and Glenda Fulbright of Warner Robins, Georgia; brother, Jeremy Fulbright (Brianna); sister, Kelley Davis (Michael); sister-in-law, Leanne Fulbright; and numerous nieces and nephews.
