Macon- Steven Bert Kinard, Jr., 72, of 4674 Savage Hills Drive, died Tuesday, August 18, 2009. Memorial services will be held on Friday, August 21, 2009 at 2:00PM at Northminster Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Dr. Jarred Hammet and the Reverend John Sawyer officiating. Burial will be private. The family will greet friends at the church following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Capital Campaign, Northminster Presbyterian Church, 565 Wimbish Road, Macon, GA 31210, Vista Care Hospice, 319 Margie Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088, or Humane Services, C/O Edwina Barnes, 1354 Nottingham Drive, Macon, GA 31211. Mr. Kinard was a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church where he was an Elder and served on the Congregation Care Committee. He was a graduate of Riverside Academy and attended Mercer University and Young Harris College. Mr. Kinard was a cross country runner. Mr. Kinard is survived by his wife, Patsy Kinard of Macon; children, Steven Bert Kinard III (Tara) of Atlanta, Kimberly Kinard Johnston (Rick) of Macon, Patty Howell (Jeff) of Tennessee, Penny Tirello (Joe) of Macon, and Michael Murphree (Val) of Macon; grandchildren, Sam Seekins, Kendall Seekins, Steven Kinard, Jeb Howell, Alexandra Tirello, Shelly Howell Taylor Murphree and Shannon Murphree; sister, Marilee Kinard Rivers (Mickey) of Macon; two nieces and one nephew.
