April 14, 1941 — June 21, 2018

Steve Manis, 77, of Macon, passed away June 21, 2018. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, June 29, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Gray with the Reverend Randy Darnell and the Reverend Robby Kerr officiating. Burial will be at 1:00PM at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to First Baptist Church of Gray, 134 West Clinton Street, Gray, GA 31032 or Heartland Hospice, 3312 Northside Drive S. D250, Macon, GA 31210.

Mr. Manis was a member of First Baptist Church of Gray. He retired with 30 years of service from Mine Safety and Health Administration. Mr. Manis was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He was the son of the late Roger Glenn Manis and Mabel Irene Vaughn Manis and was predeceased by brothers, Ronnie Manis and Phil Manis.

Mr. Manis is survived by his wife, Gail, of Jones County; children, Donna Manis Ryals (Rob) of Gray, and Carole Manis McTier (William) of Jones County; grandchildren, Jessica Crooms, Haleigh Crooms, Austin Ryals, Seth Ryals, John Meadows, and Jordan Meadows; sister-in-law, Becky Manis of Strawberry Plains, Tennessee; and many nieces and nephews.
