Funeral services for Stephen S. Hull, 86, who died Tuesday, June 18, 2024, will be held at the Georgia Veterans Cemetery in Milledgeville, Georgia. The service will be private and limited to family only. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, or the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
Born December 2, 1937 in Peoria, Illinois, Mr. Hull graduated from Knox College in 1960 and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked for the 3M Company up to the time he moved from Chicago to Macon in 1977. Mr. Hull started Hull Construction and retired in 2000.
Mr. Hull was a blood donor having given over six gallons. He was a volunteer at Rebuilding Macon and Linwood Cemetery Clean Up. Mr. Hull also volunteered after Hurricane Hugo and the Macon flooding. He was a woodworker, and during Christmas seasons, Mr. Hull built wheelchair ramps for the Macon Telegraph Reindeer Wish Projects.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Nancy Hull; children, Elizabeth Marber (Scott) of Seattle, Washington, Stephen Hull, Jr. (Erin) of Charleston, South Carolina, William “Bill” Hull (Jennifer) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Joseph Hull (Pamela) of Tallahassee, Florida, Michael Hull (Dorothy) of Forsyth, Georgia, Kimberly Anne Story (Al) of Birmingham, Alabama; and twelve grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Barbara Hopkins of Knoxville, Illinois.
Hart’s Mortuary and Cremation Center, 765 Cherry Street, Macon, GA 31201 has charge of arrangements.
