Stella Lou Phillips Middlebrooks

Stella Lou Phillips Middlebrooks most recently of Macon, Georgia, 88, passed into the presence of her Savior December 8, 2011. Mrs. Middlebrooks was born in Jacksboro, Texas, August 24, 1923. She graduated from Jacksboro High School in Jacksboro, Texas in 1940 and Georgia State College, Milledgeville, Georgia, 1961. Mrs. Middlebrooks taught geography and other social studies courses at Baldwin County High School for 19 years. Mrs. Middlebrooks is survived by her husband of 70 years, Doyle Clinton Middlebrooks; three children and their spouses, Janice and Mike Rogers, Waxhaw, North Carolina, Larry and Susie Middlebrooks, Lilburn, Georgia, Charles and Mary Ann Middlebrooks, Waco, Texas; seven grandchildren, in Georgia- Scott and Kerry, and Kevin Middlebrooks, in Texas- Joe and Starla, Phillip and David Middlebrooks; one great-granddaughter, in Texas- Memory Middlebrooks. Mrs. Middlebrooks is predeceased by grandson, Brian Rogers. A memorial service will be held at Hart's Mortuary, 6324 Peake Road, Macon, Georgia, Friday, December 30, 2:00PM.
