Byron, GA- Solace Novel "Buddy" Grimes, Jr., 70, of 1432 Dunbar Road, #185, Byron, GA died Wednesday, July 15, 2009. Memorial services will be held Friday, July 17, 2009 at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Hart's Mortuary, Cherry Street, with the Reverend Mark Hudgens officiating. Burial will be private. The family will greet friends on Thursday from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at the funeral home and may be contacted at the residence. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Ingleside Baptist Church, Building Fund, 834 Wimbish Road, Macon, GA 31210 or to United Hospice, 2484 Ingleside Avenue, Macon, GA 31204. Mr. Grimes was a member of Ingleside Baptist Church and the Ross Sunday School Class. He served for eight years in the Georgia State Defense Force with the National Guard. Mr. Grimes was a graduate of the Citadel, Charleston, South Carolina and served in the United States Coast Guard Reserve. Mr. Grimes is survived by his wife, Betty Grimes of Byron; daughter, Stacy Brown-Siegle, and son-in-law, Jeffrey S. Siegle of Byron; grandchildren, Katelyn Ashley Brown and Morgan Ashley Siegle.
