Silfredo "Popy" Ruiz

Silfredo “Popy” Ruiz, 86, of Macon, passed away Friday, July 10, 2020.  A private graveside service will be held Monday, July 13, 2020 at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Ruiz was born in Guanabacoa, Havana, Cuba to the late Pablo and Rosa Molena Ruiz.  He loved being the “Junk Man” of Smiley’s.  He also loved to travel with his wife in their RV to the beach, especially Carabel and Mexico Beach.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Joyce Clarke Ruiz.

Mr. Ruiz is survived by his great granddaughter, Caitlin Roberts Taylor (Matt) of Jones County; great grandson, Dawson Keith Roberts (Victoria) of Milledgeville, Georgia; granddaughter, Ronda Colbert of Warner Robins, Georgia; friend, Keith Roberts of Jones County; and family members, Carlos, Titina, and Nancy, all of Miami, Florida.
