Shirley Anne Self

Shirley Anne Self, 85, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 3:00PM on Saturday, October 22, 2016 in the chapel of Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, with the Reverend Mark Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the Cupola. Miss Self was the daughter of the late Lawrence Sidney Self and Pearl Sumner Self. She was a graduate of A.L. Miller High School. She was a longtime member and pianist of Cherokee Heights Baptist church and New Heights Baptist Church. Miss Self was a sweet spirit and was greatly loved by family and friends. The family would like to express heart-felt appreciation to the staff of Pine Pointe Hospice and John Wesley Villas for their compassionate care. Survivors include her cousins, Carolyn Wilcher (Wallace) of Tampa, Florida, Carol Starr (John) of Marietta, Georgia, Dale Freeney of Macon, Jennifer Glenn (Richard) of Jupiter, Florida, and Robert Sumner (Jane) of Suwanee, Georgia.
