Shirley Justice

Shirley Annette Justice, 85, of Forsyth, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 3, 2025, in the Chapel of Hart’s at the Cupola. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.

Daughter of the late Cullen O’Neal and Ella Ussery O’Neal, Shirley was born in Dudley, Georgia on January 23, 1940. A distinguished figure in the medical community, Shirley devoted 33 years of her career as the head of the anatomical pathology lab at the Medical Center of Central Georgia (MCCG). Shirley's contributions to pathology were not confined to the laboratory; she was a founding member of the Georgia Society of Histotechnology and was deeply involved with the National Society of Histology, where her guidance and expertise helped shape the industry standard practices.

Shirley's contributions reached beyond her professional achievements. As a dedicated Gracious Lady of Georgia, she exemplified the virtues of kindness, charity, and leadership within her community. er unwavering faith was evident through her active membership at Berean Baptist Church, where she served in various capacities over the years, leaving a legacy of faith and service.

Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her children, Alan D. Justice MD (Denise) of Macon, Angela Annette Justice of Macon, and Tonya Haney of Forsyth; grandchildren: Landon Justice (Mallory) of Macon, Jordan Justice (Meagan) of Blairsville, Georgia, Lindsey Justice (Molly Smith) of Macon, James Justice (Adrianna) of Dublin, Georgia, Kelsey Justice (Jake) of Atlanta, Georgia, Nickolas French of Macon, Autumn Mimbs of Macon, and Morgan Haney of Kennesaw, Georgia; great grandchildren: Emerson Justice, Kaylee Justice, Beaux Justice, and Abel Justice; and sister, Deborah Cupp of Warner Robins, Georgia.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Larry G. Justice; and son, Mark Justice.
