Shirley Tidwell Hall

Shirley Tidwell Hall, 78, of Lizella, Georgia, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024.  A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Hart’s at the Cupola, with Dr. Tommy Jordan officiating.  The family will greet friends following the service. Burial will be private at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.

Daughter of the late Elmer and Evelyn Tidwell, Shirley was born in Macon, Georgia on February 12, 1946.   She was a graduate of A.L. Miller High School. She retired from the Peyton Anderson Foundation, where she worked for more than 20 years.

Shirley was a wonderful cook, and an avid seamstress, making many beautiful baby blankets.  She was a lifelong member of Bethel Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Hall; son, Kevin Hall; and her sister, Juanita Jordan.

Shirley is survived by her children, William Blake Hall and Sonya Lynn Hall, both of Lizella; grandchildren, Brandon Lee Hall of Martinez, Georgia, and Tyler Kevin Hall of Augusta, Georgia; great grandchildren, Ella and Emma Hall, and Avery Grace Hall; nieces and nephews, Dianne Hattaway (Allan), Karen Lambert, and Darrell Jordan (Penny).
