Shirley Virginia Hadden Baker

Shirley Virginia Hadden Baker, 81, of Macon, passed away January 15, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, Macon, Georgia 31210 with Reverend John Marc Cooling officiating. Family will greet friends one hour prior to service. Burial will be at Macon Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Miracle League of Macon, 536 Franklin Road, Macon, GA 31220. Mrs. Baker retired from Southern Bell/Bellsouth with 37 years of service. She was a member and past president of The Telephone Pioneers and a member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church. Mrs. Baker was the widow of Fred Baker and the daughter of the late Mollie and Elmo Hadden. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Floyd Hadden and Grayson Hadden. Mrs. Baker is survived by her sons, Charles Hadden Baker (Lynn) of Macon, Marke Alvin Baker (Jae) of Forsyth, and Jason McCoy Baker of Jackson; grandchildren, Molly McCoy Baker of Forsyth, Zak Dean of Macon, Joshua Dean of Columbus, Georgia, Marke Alvin Baker, Jr. of Macon, Frederick Charles Baker of Augusta, and Madison, Morgan and John Baker of Monticello; great-grandchildren, Joshua Haas of Forsyth, Rhodes Dean of Forsyth, Hollis Dean of Macon and Adia Dean of Columbus; and sister, Glynda Hadden Dooley (J.C.) of Lizella.
