Shayne Michele Horne, 45, passed away Friday, March 11, 2016 due to flu complications. Family will greet friends between 6:00-8:00PM on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at the Cupola. Funeral services will be at 2:00PM on Thursday, March 17, 2016 in the chapel of Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park. She was born to Larry and Michele Highsmith on March 25, 1970 in San Pedro, California. Shayne graduated from Crawford County Comprehensive High School in 1988. She got married when she was 19 years old, and was able to travel around to a few places in the United States. From Alaska, to Missouri, to Wisconsin, and was able to see Texas and more. Even after her marriage she was able to go on a cruise with her mother, sister and niece to see the Cayman Islands and Jamaica. And not to mention all of the vacations she was able to go on, to Florida and Tennessee and North Carolina. She truly loved to travel and see the world for what it was and all of the beauty of it. She lived in Macon, Georgia for many years, and worked at National Management Resources for 18 years. She took so much pride in the work that she did there. She gained so many friends and enjoyed putting her heart into her work. Anyone who came into contact with her immediately found a friend and a second mother. She was a very motherly person. Being together with her family was what brought her true happiness in life. She was the glue that held our crazy family together. Anytime anyone needed any help she was there, no questions asked. She'd give the shirt off her back. Her door was always open to anyone in need. She loved to see her family smile, laugh, and to make sure they were always taken care of. There was never a quiet or dull moment when the family was together. She loved her children, granddaughter, and nieces and nephew so much, more than anything in the world. She'd do anything in the world for them to make sure they were taken care of. No matter how many miles away they were, she was always there for them. She'd always go without in order for them to have what they needed or even wanted in life. She was a daughter, a sister, a mother, a grandmother, and an aunt, and one of the best friends you could ever wish for. She will be truly loved and missed by all, but never forgotten. She was preceded in death by her father, Larry E. Highsmith of Roberta, Georgia. Survivors include her mother, Michele Highsmith of Roberta, Georgia; daughter, Caitlin Tuttle (Ben) of Macon; sons, Cody Horne (Tiffany) of Angier, North Carolina and Ryan Horne of Macon; granddaughter, Sophia Horne of Macon; sisters, Kathleen Rogel of Macon and Andrea Beaver (Anthony) of Macon; three nieces, Carly, Sarah, and Jaimie; great nieces and great nephew, Danielle, Abigail, and William.
