Monticello

Mr. Scott Rogerson, 59, of Monticello, Georgia, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2024.  Graveside funeral services will be at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville, Georgia on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at 11:00AM.  The family will greet friends at the residence immediately following the service.

Scott was born in Houston, Texas and served his country for twelve years in the U.S. Air Force. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and archery. As a firearms expert and instructor, he participated in Project Appleseed’s Rifle Marksmanship programs and many shooting competitions. Scott’s family remembers how he could often be heard in his reloading room spinning and reloading brass. He was a man of many interests and made many memories just spending time with his friends and family, including playing cards with his Jordan Road friends. After Scott and his wife, Raye, bought property and settled there, he relished working and caring for his own land. More than anything, he loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them.
