Saralyn Johnson Cooper

Saralyn Johnson Cooper, 92, of Macon, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 19, 2026. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Blue Springs Baptist Church, located at 1636 Minter Blue Springs Road, Rockledge, Georgia. Pastor Jim Allen will be officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service, and the burial will follow immediately after the service in the church cemetery.

Saralyn was born on December 12, 1933, in Dublin, Georgia, to the late Andrew Dewey and Etta Olean Ricks Johnson. She worked in the banking industry all of her adult life and retired from Morris Bank in Dublin, Georgia at the age of 78. In retirement, she volunteered at the Lauren’s Baptist Association for many years. Saralyn loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She will be greatly missed.

Saralyn is survived by her children, Jennifer Fromm of Macon, Georgia, Tim Cooper (Jill) of Cochran, Georgia, and Craig Cooper (Valerie) of Glenpool, Oklahoma; her 9 grandchildren; her 5 great grandchildren; and her 2 great great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Virgil P. Cooper.

The family wishes to give special thanks to her excellent caregiver, Elaine Vinson, and to Pine Pointe Hospice for their compassionate care, especially Lindsey, Claire, Maria, and Crystal.

Pallbearers will be Emerson Fromm, Drew Cooper, Tristan Cooper, Jake Fromm, Dylan Fromm, and Tyler Fromm.
